Role: Handy Person / Handy Man / Facilities Maintenance Person Salary: £36,000 to £41,000 per annum, depending on experience, + Bonus + Benefits (25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, life assurance, pension)Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am till 3:15pm (6:00am till 1:00pm on Friday's)Location: Commutable from Aldershot, Farnborough, Guildford, Basingstoke, Camberley and surrounding areasCompanyA well established, growing and multi site engineering/manufacturing company are on the look out for a permanent Hand-Person / Facilities Maintenance professional. The role is extremely varied and rather autonomous. It would suit someone who enjoys a variety, is proactive, hands on, happy to turn their hands to all general areas and wants this job their own. They have recently received a large investment and purchased a new factory - this is one of the sites you will supporting. ResponsibilitiesYour role will be hands on, to oversee the upkeep and general repair and maintenance of the facilities across multi small factories. This could include basic plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, electrical etc. Communicating and coordinating specialist maintenance contractors on such things like HVAC, Electrical (lighting etc.), and More. Manage the maintenance inbox and jobs, ensure they are correctly handled and dealt with, logging all tasks pending and completed. Keep all facilities and building maintenance record logs, specifically on annual service of specialized equipment and ensure proactive maintenance is completed to prevent any issues. Complete basic health and safety checks of the facilities and building equipment. Visual checks and proactive attend to any/all repairs as/when required. As you will be covering a few sites within the local area, you will have access to a Company Van (not to be taken home) and a driving license is therefore required. As part of your role, you will also assist with picking up or dropping off parts from the local sites. You may on occasions be required to travel as far as Birmingham to collect parts. There will be some basic admin work and therefore basic computer skills are required. RequirementsWe are looking for someone who is a Handy Person / Handyman. Has turned their hands to general facilities and building maintenance tasks. You must be good with your hands, turning them to different maintenance tasks. You must be proactive - go out there and see what works needs doing and get it done. Any exposure to general: plumbing, carpentry, flooring, decorating, mechanical and electrical maintenance will be most desirable. Any experience working in a factory or commercial environment, looking after general facilities (hands on) and dealing with contractors, this will be most desirable. Must have a full driving licence.
