About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers. You will ensure that students remain on task, manage classroom behaviour, and facilitate the delivery of pre-prepared lessons. Your key responsibilities will include: Supervising students in the classroom during the absence of their regular teacher. Delivering pre-set lessons and ensuring students understand the tasks. Maintaining accurate records of student attendance and behaviour. Following school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and behaviour management. About You: We are looking for someone who: Has experience of working with children or young people in a group setting (e.g., schools, youth clubs, sports coaching). Is confident, adaptable, and able to manage classroom behaviour effectively. Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills. Is able to follow instructions and work independently. Is reliable, punctual, and committed to the role. Has a calm and professional manner. Has a good understanding of safeguarding principles. A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential.
