The Role: As a Finance Assistant, you’ll play a key part in the smooth running of the company’s financial processes. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Managing purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring accuracy across all transactions.
* Supporting with daily financial entries and assisting in the maintenance of accounting systems.
* Preparing and processing invoices and ensuring timely payments.
* Reconciling bank statements and investigating discrepancies.
* Maintaining accurate financial records and organised documentation.
* Assisting with month-end and year-end duties alongside the wider finance team.
* Responding to queries from colleagues and external contacts.
* Providing general administrative support to the finance department as required.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will bring:
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Good organisational and time management abilities.
* A positive, proactive, and problem-solving attitude.
* Previous experience in an accounts or finance role (preferred but not essential).
* Familiarity with accounting software or Excel (desirable).
