We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Head of Psychology to join us and lead our successful and dynamic department.


The Role

* Provide academic leadership, direction and support to the Psychology team.
* Maintain and enhance the highest standards of teaching and learning.
* Lead curriculum development to ensure ambitious, engaging and future‑focused schemes of work.
* Mentor and support colleagues, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Manage a team of teaching and support staff to achieve the highest standards for the department.
* Work closely with the Faculty Leader and senior leadership team to implement strategies that challenge and inspire students, whilst ensuring health and safety standards.
* Contribute fully to the wider life of the College, including co‑curricular activities and enrichment opportunities.


Who We’re Looking For

* An inspiring, innovative and strategic leader who places the development of young people at the heart of all decisions.
* Substantial experience teaching Psychology at A‑Level, with a proven track record of excellent outcomes.
* Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
* Possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to represent the department confidently and collaboratively across the College.
* Demonstrate a commitment to developing a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement within the department.
* Be experienced in curriculum design, assessment strategies, and integrating real‑world physics and engineering concepts into teaching.
* Show enthusiasm for innovative approaches to teaching and learning, including technology and enrichment opportunities.
