An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Occupational Therapist – Eating Disorder to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Cheadle, Greater Manchester area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers
The hospital is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence across 11 wards which include a speciality eating disorder service, CAMHS, rehabilitation, acute and PICU services
** To be considered for this position you must have a degree/diploma Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered**
As the Occupational Therapist your key responsibilities include:
1. Providing assessment and treatment of a designated case load within the frame work of an established rehabilitation programme
2. Applying patient-centred principles to assessment, intervention and evaluation
3. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy process in line with sound evidence based practice
4. Participation in MDT, CPA, case conferences, referral meetings and nursing handover
5. Ongoing development of skills and knowledge, through participation in CPD and Professional Development Planning
6. Line-management and supervision of a part-time Technical Instructor
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
7. Proven experience in mental health and knowledge of the Mental Health Act
8. Patient centric & commitment to delivering high quality care
9. Fine tuned decision making skills
10. Excellent organisational capability
11. Effective communication skills
The successful Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £35,000 – £38,000 FTE DOE. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working up to 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
