The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Lecturer in English. We are looking for an enthusiastic English Lecturer to join our dynamic teaching team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and help them unlock their potential in the world of English Language.
You will be part of a highly successful team of dedicated English staff delivering GCSE English Language and Functional Skills English at Accrington and Rossendale College, inspiring your students to achieve their best.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at Accrington and Rossendale campus but may be required to travel across sites. This post could suit an experienced practitioner looking for their next challenge, or a newly qualified teacher looking to make their mark within an outstanding organisation.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be involved in every aspect of course planning, including developing schemes of work, lesson plans and teaching resources, while building strong relationships with your learners. Your efforts will contribute to improving student retention, attendance and success rates, and you will play a key role in shaping the curriculum to best meet students’ needs.
What We Are Looking For
* Experience of teaching English within a Further Education, Sixth Form, Apprenticeship or Secondary setting.
* Teaching qualification.
* Degree in English or an associated subject – or an alternative degree with A Level English.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Passion for the subject and ability to inspire and motivate.
* Highly organised and conscientious approach.
