Press Tool Maker
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company in Worcestershire for an experienced Press Tool Maker to join their skilled toolroom team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work within a modern manufacturing environment, producing and maintaining high-quality press tooling to support production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, assemble, repair, and maintain press tools to required specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and tooling designs.
- Carry out tool modifications and improvements to enhance performance and productivity.
- Operate conventional toolroom machinery, including milling, grinding, turning, and drilling equipment.
- Diagnose tooling issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Support production teams with tooling-related technical expertise.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of press tools.
- Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Press Tool Maker, Toolmaker, or in a similar tooling role.
- Strong knowledge of press tool manufacture, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Skilled in the use of conventional toolroom machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant engineering or toolmaking qualifications are desirable.
