About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Housing Advisor to join our client. This role involves providing comprehensive housing advice and assistance, managing caseloads, and working closely with internal and external partners to prevent homelessness and support tenancy sustainability.
Role: Housing Advisor
Location: Portadown
Duration: 3-month cover with possible extension
Hours: 37 per week (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm)
Pay: £16.37 per hour
Key Requirements:
1. Full driving license and access to own car
2. Ability to cover across South Area offices (Armagh, Portadown, Banbridge & Lurgan)
3. Basic IT proficiency
4. Access NI (Basic) clearance
Responsibilities:
5. Assess housing needs and conduct interviews/home visits
6. Complete homelessness investigations and arrange emergency accommodation
7. Provide housing advice on tenancy, benefits, affordability, and homelessness prevention
8. Manage caseloads effectively and maintain accurate records
9. Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to support customers
