What You’ll Be Doing
As Senior / Lead Engineer, you’ll be trusted to deliver high-quality ventilation hygiene and compliance services nationwide. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage projects, guide junior engineers, and ensure client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading site teams of engineers and technicians, ensuring projects are completed safely and to standard.

Overseeing and carrying out cleaning/disinfection of ventilation systems, AHUs, and kitchen extract systems.
*
Supporting fire damper testing and remedial works.
*
Conducting inspections, compliance checks, and microbial testing where required.
*
Managing all project documentation, including RAMS, reports, and before/after evidence.
*
Acting as the key point of contact for clients, offering technical advice and clear updates.
*
Mentoring, training, and supporting junior engineers to raise overall standards.
*
Maintaining equipment, PPE, and tools in line with professional standards.
*
Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation including COSHH and Working at Height.
About You
We’re looking for a practical leader who enjoys working on-site, managing teams, and delivering technical excellence.
Essential experience and skills:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in ventilation hygiene or ductwork cleaning.
*
Sound knowledge of TR19® standards.
*
Previous experience leading or supervising teams.
*
Strong technical understanding of ventilation systems.
*
Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
Desirable (but not essential):
*
BESA Vent Hygiene Elite (VHE) certification.
*
Confined Space Training (C&G or equivalent).
*
IPAF, PASMA, or Working at Height training.
*
Knowledge of HTM 03-01 for healthcare settings.
*
Asbestos Awareness certification.

Working Conditions
The role involves nationwide travel and some overnight stays, as well as flexibility for early mornings, nights, or weekends when required. Work can be physically demanding, including confined space and working at height – full PPE and specialist training will be provided.
