Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for part-time HGV Drivers Class 1 (Cat C+E) and Class 2 (Cat C) to come and join our agency and work for a variety of our clients around the SK Postcode.As the busy season is fast approaching, we are looking to add experienced HGV Drivers to our team to support our client base. We have work available Monday through to Friday, and the ideal candidate will be looking for 2-3 days work a week (in peak times we may be able to offer more days) and will be flexible with the days and hours you can work but we can also work around your availability. The start times vary depending on the client but usually between 5am-8am starts. We have been operating for 40 years and pride ourselves in quality service. We have various roles such as haulage, flatbed work, day and night work with over 40 customers supplied weekly.
Duties of this HGV Driver includes:
1. Driving the HGV vehicle responsibly and safely while obeying all traffic laws.
2. Carrying out required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance.
3. Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress
4. Completing paperwork accurately as instructed
Our HGV Driver must have:
5. Full UK Driving licence.
6. Cat C Licence (Category C – HGV Class 2 Driver) OR CE Licence – HGV Class 1 )
7. Valid CPC and Digital Tacho card
8. No DD’s, DR’s, IN’s, TT’s endorsements
9. Preferred 6 months relevant driving experience.
10. Able to work to tight deadlines.
Pay Rates:
Class 1 Rates: £17.59ph and £23.53ph overtime (After 8 hours)
The rates above include holidays accrued within the hourly rate, if you wished to have your holidays put aside then the hourly rate for a Class 1 would become £15.70ph and £21ph overtime.
Class 2 Rates:
£15.68ph and £22.05ph overtime (After 8 hours)
This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rate, if you wish to accrue these separately then this rate will become £14.70ph and £19.68ph overtime.
