Competitive pay, up to £55k package per annum + KPI bonus (DOE) 45 hours per week including weekends and evenings.
The Role:
We are delighted to be recruiting an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at our client's newly refurbished boutique hotel, nestled on the edge of the stunning North Yorkshire Moors. Renowned for its warm hospitality, locally inspired cuisine, and historic charm, the hotel offers guests a truly unforgettable experience—whether visiting for leisure, dining, or special events. As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the kitchen operation, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. You will bring creativity and innovation to the menu, champion the use of fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients, and inspire a passionate kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Key Responsibilities:
? Lead, manage, and inspire the kitchen team to consistently deliver high-quality dishes
? Develop and refresh seasonal menus with a focus on local produce and boutique dining
? Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness in line with all health & safety regulations
? Control stock levels, ordering, and food costs to ensure profitability
? Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting a positive and professional kitchen culture
? Work closely with hotel management to support events, private dining, and functions
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a quality-led kitchen
Passion for fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced food
Strong leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen compliance (Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred)
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Creativity and attention to detail in food presentation
