Are you passionate about developing the next generation of engineers? MTC Training is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Engineering Trainer with a machining bias to join our team at the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre in Coventry.
At MTC Training, our mission is to future proof UK manufacturing by embedding adaptable knowledge, skills and behaviours into our training programmes. As an Engineering Trainer, you will play a key role in delivering high quality practical and theoretical training to apprentices, supporting their progression and success.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging training in machining and related engineering subjects at Level 2, Level 3 and HNC
* Create and manage learning content aligned with apprenticeship standards
* Monitor learner progress and tailor support to individual needs
* Ensure health, safety and wellbeing of learners in training environments
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate industry standards into the curriculum
* Provide constructive feedback and record learner development
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
* Has strong engineering knowledge, ideally gained through industrial experience
* Is confident delivering technical content and supporting learners of varying abilities
* Is highly organised, articulate and able to work independently and as part of a team
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
* Is creative and innovative in their approach to teaching and learning
Essential Qualifications
* Industry related qualifications such as Level 3 Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or Degree
* Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSEs in Maths and English (grade C or above)
Desirable Qualifications
* Assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA)
* Recognised teaching or training qualification
* Internal Quality Assurance qualification
