What you’ll be doing
1. Lead and shape executive-level customer relationships across complex Welsh public sector hierarchies, acting as a trusted advisor and strengthening BT’s position as a long-term strategic partner.
2. Provide end-to-end leadership of large, complex bids and re-procurements, ensuring strong governance, risk management, and the delivery of high-quality, competitive, and compliant submissions.
3. Act as a senior orchestrator across BT, aligning sales, commercial, technical, legal, and delivery teams to present a single, coherent face to the customer and to support successful outcomes.
4. Develop and maintain deep insight into the Welsh Public Sector landscape, including policy priorities, funding models, transformation agendas, and competitor activity, and translate this insight into actionable guidance for account teams.
5. Support the development and execution of account strategies and development plans, providing challenge, insight, and expertise to ensure they are robust, differentiated, and aligned to customer outcomes.
6. Build and maintain strong partner and vendor relationships, managing complex stakeholder environments and escalations to protect service credibility and enable joint value creation.
7. Drive continuous improvement in bid quality, customer experience, and ways of working, mentoring and influencing colleagues to raise capability, consistency, and performance across the team.
