A well-established and prestigious manufacturing organisation are looking to hire an Engineering Maintenance Manager on a permanent basis.
The primary focus of the role is to manage the maintenance function and engineering team to ensure that equipment, services, and factory buildings are maintained in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
There is significant opportunity to make impactful changes to engineering as well as the opportunity to build a new shift team.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage a team of 10 Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers across two shifts
* Reporting to the Head of Operations with overall maintenance responsibility for production machinery, plant equipment and facilities
* Identifying, implementing, and managing projects, including the introduction of new equipment, new processes, and improving the performance of existing equipment.
* Drive the Engineering culture from reactive to planned & preventative
* Setting and controlling engineering department budgets, spend and priorities.
* Ensuring that projects are delivered on target, and that clear project plans and strategies are in place and that resources are used in the most efficient way.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must hold at least a Level 3 engineering qualification or higher (C&G or NVQ) and have experience in the management of a maintenance team within a manufacturing environment. Previous experience setting PPMs and driving engineering improvements is also required. This role would suit an experienced Maintenance Manager or an Engineering Team Leader looking to take the next step in their career. CMMS experience is also required.
