About the Role
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
1. Salary £30,529.29 per annum
2. Working 42.50 hours per week
3. Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, with Saturdays and Sundays as your rest days
4. There is also the an additional bonus of £240.00 per month for maintaining the machines on site
5. The work includes Bank Holidays, which you will receive double pay and a day in lieu for each one worked, (which will be expected as part of your rota)

What will I be doing?
You will carry out the operation of loading shovels, FLT & tele-handlers across the site, loading a variety of different types of vehicles such as curtain sided vehicles, shipping containers and bulk haulage walking floors.
This will involve:
7. To oversee and ensure safe and efficient operation and use of fixed machinery, such as bailing machines.
8. Complete pre-operational safety and operator checks.
9. Complete daily checks and maintenance of mobile plant, Fixed Plant and equipment used at the facility.
10. Direct customer’s vehicles to the various disposal areas and assist them with off-loading as required.
11. Assist Sampling Operatives with collection of output samples.
12. Ensure the site is always kept clean and tidy.
13. Assist Production staff with their duties during end of shift clean-ups and plant downtime.
14. Contribute to lean and 5’s activities across the site in order to maintain a clean, organised and efficient workplace.
15. To work as part of a team and to maintain an efficient and cost-effective operation.
16. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.
What are the requirements?
17. For immediate impact, we are ideally seeking an experienced plant operator, who holds the relevant CITB/CPCS/NPORS certification or equivalent, however for the right candidate training can be given.
18. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards.
19. A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
20. A safety conscious approach with the desire to develop & embrace change to promote continuous improvement.
21. Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage, but not a necessity.
