Position Overview: GM Performance Power Units is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Regulations Analyst to support reporting and compliance activities related to the FIA Financial Regulations and Cost Cap. This role works closely with the Financial Regulations Manager and wider finance teams to ensure accurate submissions, data analysis, and regulatory adherence, enabling strategic decision-making within compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare compliant submissions to the FIA for assigned regulatory areas
• Analyze and collect data supporting responses, clarification requests, and agenda items for CFO presentations at FIA Financial Advisory Committee meetings and ad-hoc FIA requests
• Support external audits related to Cost Cap Agreed Upon Procedures and FIA audits for assigned areas
• Create and maintain monthly Cost Cap actuals reporting as part of the broader monthly finance reporting cycle
• Maintain Cost Cap-specific adjustments and postings within the finance system during monthly close
• Review source documentation and transactional data to ensure compliance with Financial Regulations
• Assist in preparing and maintaining monthly year-to-go Cost Cap forecasts and multi-year budgets
• Prepare detailed papers documenting interpretations of specific Financial Regulation areas and maintain fair value assessment schedules
• Stay up to date with changes in Financial, Technical, Sporting Regulations, and relevant accounting standards impacting the Cost Cap
Qualifications
Technical Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or professional accounting certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred
• Experience working within a regulatory environment, ideally with financial reporting or compliance focus
• Proficient in handling and analyzing large datasets
• Familiarity supporting both internal and external financial audits
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail with thorough review capabilities
