Summary
The Governors of Seven Stars Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, suitably qualified and experienced Business Manager who:
Responsibilities
* has excellent organisational, strategic, leadership and financial skills (including the ability to prioritise tasks and manage well other members of the Business support team)
* can manage the schools financial resources effectively, ensuring compliance and transparency at all levels
* is welcoming, caring and professional when dealing with all school visitors and stakeholders (including parents, staff, children, governors and family members)
* can take a strategic lead in the day-to-day management of the school (see specific areas of responsibility in the attached job description and specification)
* has an ability to seek solutions to problems in collaboration with others
* is able to reflect on all aspects of school life and support the future development of the school
* is able to provide support to the Head teacher, Senior Leadership Team, Governors and staff as needed within the remit of the role
* will have specific responsibility for developing effective and efficient financial, administrative, human resource, health and safety and premises functions. It is also essential that the candidate can work effectively as part of a strong team and can interact positively with parents, families, staff, pupils, professionals and all members of the school community.
This position is term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
* 5 GCSEs Grade C and above including Maths and English (or equivalent)
* experience of working in a similar role or specialised skills acquired through significant on the job experience
Desirable Qualifications
* 5 GCSEs Grade C and above including Maths and English (or equivalent)
* experience of working in a similar role or specialised skills acquired through significant on the job experience
Essential Experience
* Experience of the work practices, processes and procedures relevant to working in a school office environment
* Experience of IT based systems (Sims, Sims Finance, Oracle Fusion, School Money and DfE related systems)
* Experience of managing budgets and resources
* Empathy and sensitivity to the needs of staff, families and children
* Good written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Experience
* Experience of working in a Leadership team at a strategic level
* Experience in recruitment and managing the Single Central Record
* Experience in marketing and revenue generation
* Experience of managing and review Service Level Agreements
* Experience of asset management
* Experience of inputting and producing reports on statistical data
