Intelligence Officer
Location: Woodhatch Place, RH2 8EF or Aylesbury, HP20 1UP
Salary: £36,873 per annum for working 36 hours per week

About The Role
You will work in our Trading Standards Legal and Intelligence team, undertaking research and analysis to produce intelligence packages and horizon scan to ensure the service is best placed to consider emerging issues. You will respond to intelligence requests from different teams within the Trading Standards service to enable service delivery, such as producing hotspots of criminality (e.g., incidents of under age sales of tobacco products or rogue trading).
You will interrogate the Trading Standards systems to produce responses for Freedom of Information Requests and Formal Returns to external bodies such as the Food Standards Agency. You will work independently, organising and prioritising your workload with minimal guidance to ensure deadlines are met.
Shortlisting Criteria
* Knowledge and experience of both the National Intelligence Model and the Intelligence Operating Model
* Knowledge and experience of using analysis software, e.g. i2
* A basic understanding of the Trading Standards profession and criminal and civil law processes
* Hold or be working towards an intelligence analyst qualification
* Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
