Export Groupage Operator – European Road Freight
Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Are you an experienced road freight professional with a strong understanding of European logistics? We are seeking a detail-focused Export Groupage Operator to join our growing team at London Gateway.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking logistics business where your expertise will directly support efficient international freight operations and customer service delivery.
The Role
You will play a key role in managing European groupage movements, ensuring freight is delivered efficiently from origin to final destination.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating European groupage shipments across multiple routes
* Managing the end-to-end movement of freight (international and domestic)
* Liaising with customers, overseas agents, and suppliers
* Handling customs documentation and ensuring compliance
* Calculating rates, costs, and chargeable weight (taxable kilos)
* Working collaboratively within a team of 15 (and a wider team of 50)
What We Are Looking For
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in European road freight operations
* Strong understanding of groupage services and routing
* Confidence in manual cost calculations and pricing structures
* Knowledge of customs processes and documentation
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
