Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Fundraiser to support our mission of improving the lives of children through impactful specialist health and education. Working with the Senior Management Team, Social Media and Marketing Coordinator the successful applicant will pay a key role in the development and expansion of our fundraising capabilities.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for raising vital funds to support initiatives including neonatal physiotherapy, outpatient clinical services and our specials school for children with significant disabilities. You will plan and manage fundraising campaigns and events, engage with donors, and build strong relationships with individuals, organizations, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement creative fundraising strategies to support the paediatric services provided by the charity
* Organise and manage fundraising events such as charity balls, family fun days, sponsored sports events, and online campaigns
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners, and provide them with excellent customer service to ensure their experience is positive and engaging.
* Write compelling fundraising appeals, sponsorship proposals, and campaign materials
* Proficient in the use of fundraising software/CRM programmes
* Ensure all fundraising activities and associated materials align with the standards set by the Fundraising regulator
* Understand and adhere to the regulations relating to restricted and non-restricted funds, following Charity Commission guidance.
* Identify and approach potential corporate sponsors, grant providers, and donors
* Promote fundraising initiatives through social media, newsletters, and community outreach
* Regular carry out research into fundraising and grant opportunities, and keep abreast of the developments in the world of fundraising
* Maintain donor records and track campaign performance using CRM systems
* Collaborate with the senior management team and marketing staff to align corporate messaging and storytelling
* Represent the charity at public events, visits, networking events, and partnership meetings
* Stay up to date on child welfare, inclusion and disability issues to ensure fundraising aligns with current needs and trends
* Track your individual KPI's to ensure they align with the charity's targets.
Qualifications:
* Experience in fundraising, nonprofit work, or event planning
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, child-centred approach
* Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor management systems
* Ability to work evenings or weekends for events
* Genuine passion for making a difference to the lives of children with disabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
* Degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field
* Experience working with, or advocating for, children's programs or youth development
* Familiarity with safeguarding practices and child protection policies
Other requirements:
* Ability to work flexible hours when required to manage or attend fundraising-related events outside of normal office hours.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team
* Ability to work autonomously, and maintain a professional workload and work rate

· Fluent in written and spoken English
