As a Lecturer of English at EKC Ashford College you will teach, train and assess students in a variety of learning environments, ensuring a high-quality learning experience.
Your Role Will Also Include
* Prepare and deliver lessons to inspire and educate learners.
* Encourage and support learners to achieve their full potential.
* Provide guidance and feedback to support ongoing development.
* Train and assess students in both theory and practical work.
* Provide a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Hours per week: 18.5
Salary: £18,055 up to £19,780

You Will
* Be highly organised and creative, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Confidently assess, track and monitor student progress to plan effective interventions
* Ensure all students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed
You Should Also
* Ideally have teaching experience or have delivered training in the workplace
* Hold a positive and empathetic outlook towards learners
* Demonstrate classroom management and the ability to motivate others
* Be able to teach across a range of study programmes from Level 1 to Level 3

About the salary scale: There are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Lecturers will normally move up to the highest salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete. (Lecturers must be in post by 1st September in any given year to qualify and this is subject to approval). Therefore, internal applicants in the same role may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification.
