The Role – Catering Assistant
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Catering Assistant to support our kitchen team in keeping everything running smoothly and maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Catering Team with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
* Prepare food items as directed by the Head Chef or Chef de Partie
* Help organise the kitchen, including unloading fresh supplies, checking food dates, and rotating stock
* Maintain a clean and safe working station, adhering to health & safety standards
* Assist with cleaning and organising the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment
* Restock items as needed throughout the shift
* Wash crockery, cutlery, and utensils used by kitchen, staff, guests, and visitors
* Prepare and serve drinks as required by guests
* Report any faulty or damaged kitchen equipment to the Head Chef or Manager
* Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards
About You:
The ideal candidate will be:

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
* Food Hygiene Qualification
* Knowledge of HACCP procedures
* Previous experience in a similar role

Hours:
This role is 1 day a week (8 hours), with the option to cover additional hours for annual leave or other absences.
