The presenter/producer of BBC Radio Kent’s daytime show (weekdays 1000-1400) will be a talented personality, at the heart of the relationship we have with our local audience. Your Key Responsibilities And Impact You’ll not only be one of the key voices of the radio station but also a crucial part of the team’s production machine, curating content of the highest quality, in our digital first approach. As well as nurturing our existing audience, you will be looking to attract new listeners, by reflecting the true diversity in our communities. You will use your natural curiosity to source original stories and contributors to bring local stories to life, telling them across all platforms. You will research, script and present content in an engaging and impartial way, always following the BBC’s Editorial Guidelines. Essential Criteria YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE You’ll have significant experience of radio presentation/production, bringing energy and bags of enthusiasm, to deliver innovative and creative content. We are looking for a presenter/producer with specific experience in live, speech-based radio presentation. You will have a willingness to change and adapt; endless curiosity and the demonstrable ability to connect with people quickly. Your delivery style will be inclusive and engaging to deliver strong personality-led and entertaining radio, whilst having the capacity to recognise and quickly adapt to changing tones and situations. Experience of planning and delivering to deadlines will be key. We are looking for real team players as well as outstanding broadcasters – individuals who harness their skills and experience to support, mentor and develop newer members of the team.
