Description Purpose of the Role This role plays a pivotal part in supporting the Sales Division’s new business objectives by enhancing systems, processes, and documentation that underpin strategic partnership initiatives. Working closely with Business Development Managers, the role aims to optimise new business flows from both new and existing strategic partners. Additionally, it contributes to Charles Stanley’s propositional development by conducting market research and analysis to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, collaboration, and service distribution. You will work independently and collaboratively across departments to ensure Charles Stanley remains competitive and well-positioned in the intermediary market. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the IST Management Team to shape and execute strategies for identifying, securing, and maximising strategic partnerships within the Intermediary Sales Channel. Partner with the IST and Asset Management teams to regularly review and challenge the product range and proposition positioning. Conduct competitor analysis, focusing on distribution strategies and identifying large-scale opportunities. Prepare strategic due diligence and tender documentation to support new business acquisition. Own and enhance the Sales Division’s tendering process, including capacity building for standard RFIs and process optimisation. Actively participate in strategic partner events, seminars, and joint initiatives to strengthen relationships. Oversee implementation plans for new strategic partners, ensuring seamless coordination with Business Development Managers and support teams. Support and coordinate submissions for regular business development meetings with strategic partners, attending as needed. Maintain external due diligence and third-party governance tools to ensure accurate representation of Charles Stanley. Produce peer market analysis (e.g., FE, Defaqto) and collaborate with commercial analytics to drive efficiency and broad distribution. Maintain a strong understanding of Charles Stanley’s investment themes, working with Research and Asset Management to deliver concise commentary for client discussions. Provide insight and materials to support Business Development Managers and Directors across key areas such as Charities, Fiduciary services, and Central Leads. Act as liaison with the IMS Strategy Team to ensure effective two-way communication and alignment. Qualifications & Experience Degree-level education preferred. Solid understanding of Discretionary Fund Management and competitor landscape. Proven experience in financial services, particularly within the IFA market and sales environments. Skills & Competencies Strong technical acumen with the ability to articulate the Charles Stanley proposition clearly. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex product and market data to support sales initiatives.
