The role of Inclusion & Support Services Manager is a new, exciting, and important position within our SKylight directorate. The post holder will take strategic responsibility for managing a wide range of Housing Support and Social Inclusion services. They will lead all aspects of people management, employee engagement, and customer service excellence in this fast-paced environment.
The responsibilities include overseeing performance and service direction of core Housing Support and Social Inclusion services, driving performance for externally funded contracts, and developing new and existing initiatives aligned with SHG's priorities, key strategic partners, and government initiatives.
The post holder will develop, influence, and establish strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including the VCSFE sector, to benefit customers and promote Stockport Homes, supporting the charitable aims of SKylight.
In this role, you will:
1. Maintain and develop strategic relationships with the Council, VCSFE, and other key partners to deliver high-performing Housing Support and Social Inclusion services.
2. Lead all aspects of organizational delivery related to these initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic partners.
3. Manage the delivery of effective services that engage customers and contribute to transforming lives.
4. Work in partnership with internal teams and external organizations to deliver quality services for customers with complex needs.
5. Oversee contracts and SLAs across multiple disciplines, monitor KPIs, and report on performance to funders and board members.
6. Manage service area data, including performance metrics and absence management, and ensure income streams are maintained and maximized for value for money.
7. Lead, motivate, and develop a large staff team across multiple sites, empowering them to achieve strategic objectives.
8. Act as the safeguarding champion within the service area.
9. Create an environment where customer feedback influences decision-making and services are shaped by customer participation.
10. Lead the integration of Social Inclusion initiatives across SHG, coordinating forums and representing SHG at relevant GM groups.

* Extensive knowledge and experience in Housing Support, Social Inclusion, and Safeguarding.
* A forward-thinking, positive approach, with strategic coordination, prioritization, and decision-making skills for multiple projects.
* Strong interpersonal skills and credibility to build relationships with senior and operational managers, partners, and commissioners.
* Experience working with vulnerable individuals and groups.
* Ability to represent SHG effectively externally, influencing decision-making.
* Exceptional communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects while considering strategic context.
* Strong leadership skills to guide teams and maximize potential.
