Salary: £25,989 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
This role combines driving responsibilities with general maintenance duties to support the smooth running of the residential home and ensure the safety and wellbeing of our young people.
Responsibilities
* Conduct daily vehicle checks in line with the Road Traffic Act.
* Report faults, defects, accidents, or damage to the Deputy Manager/Manager.
* Ensure vehicle security and cleanliness (inside and out).
* Transport young people to and from educational provisions and appointments.
* Carry out basic repairs and installations to maintain the home and grounds.
* Experience of lone working.
Who We’re Looking For (Qualifications / Experience)
We’re looking for a dependable and practical individual with a clean driving licence. You’ll have experience interacting with the public face-to-face, a working knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance, and a strong commitment to good communication and customer care. If you’re someone who takes pride in supporting others and maintaining high standards, this could be the perfect role for you. DBS Checks
This role requires an Enhanced DBS Check with a Children’s Barred List check. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with Children.
