We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Account Director to take strategic and operational leadership of a major national client contract covering multiple sites across the UK and Ireland, managing Soft Services Facilities Management.
This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of all soft FM services, including cleaning, catering, security and third‑party providers, while driving financial performance and enhancing customer satisfaction.
This role involves strategic planning, contract negotiation, compliance monitoring and team leadership, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring that our contracts are managed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in soft FM contract management, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
 * Oversee the financial performance of the soft FM operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, ensuring services are delivered within budget and maximising revenue opportunities.
 * Oversee contract performance, compliance, and financial delivery ensuring all KPIs, SLAs, and budgets are met or exceeded.
 * Lead and manage the delivery of soft FM services, ensuring high standards of service delivery, safety, and customer satisfaction.
 * Build and nurture strong, long‑term client relationships, acting as a trusted partner and strategic advisor.
 * Manage and develop a high‑performing team providing clear leadership, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
 * Identify and implement opportunities for service innovation, efficiency, and added value.
 * Produce regular performance reviews, reports, and strategic development plans for both internal and client stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
 * 5+ years’ experience as an Account Director or similar role within Facilities Management.
 * Proven experience overseeing bundled FM services including catering, cleaning and security.
 * Strong financial management skills with a track record of driving revenue growth and managing budgets effectively.
 * Exceptional client relationship management skills, commercially astute, diplomatic, and solutions focused.
 * Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
 * Experience in managing large‑scale contracts and service providers, with a focus on quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
 * Strong analytical and decision‑making skills, with the ability to think strategically and resolve complex issues.
