Salary: £36,363 – £46,142

Contract: 12‑month fixed term, part‑time 22.2 hours

Job Description

A qualified and experienced Social Worker with empathy and the drive to make a difference, finding creative ways to support people to achieve what they want to and live as independently as possible in a place they call their home.

We need a Full‑time, Social Worker to work across Lancashire on a fixed term basis within our Mental Health Service. This role supports service users across Central Lancashire.

As part of your exciting new role, you will be expected to undertake strength‑based, outcome‑focused assessments and support planning, ensuring that the residents of Lancashire receive the right amount of support. You will play a vital role in supporting people to access local services, maintain independence, promote health and well‑being, and to live independently. A key part of the role includes working alongside other agencies, professionals, and informal carers, providing a holistic service. In return for your commitment and hard work, you will work alongside supportive managers and be offered various training and progression opportunities.

* Conduct strength‑based, outcome‑focused assessments and support planning.
* Ensure that residents receive the right level of support.
* Support people to access local services and maintain independence.
* Promote health and well‑being and encourage independent living.
* Work collaboratively with other agencies, professionals and informal carers to provide a holistic service.


Qualifications & Requirements

* Qualified and experienced Social Worker.
* Registered with Social Work England (SWE) or applying to register.
* Experience in a mental health service setting.
* Demonstrated empathy, supportive and innovative thinking.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Social Work applicants must be registered with Social Work England (SWE) or have applied to register. The post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013).
