The job is to help teach people who work in health and social care about learning disabilities and autism.
The training is called The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism.
Trainer Role – Key Responsibilities
As a trainer, you will:
* Work alongside other trainers – You will always be part of a team and never work alone. There will always be at least one other trainer working with you.
* Deliver training in person or online – Some sessions will be held in a room with people, and others will be done over video calls (like Zoom or Teams).
* Share your personal experiences – You will be asked to talk about your life as an autistic person or someone with a learning disability. This helps people understand things from your point of view.
* Answer questions – People might ask you questions about your experiences. You can share what you feel comfortable with.
* Be on time for training – It's important to arrive at training sessions on time so everything runs smoothly.
What You Need for This Role
You must:
* Be an autistic person or have a learning disability .
You also need to be able to:
* Speak confidently in front of others – You should feel comfortable talking to groups of people.
* Listen carefully and understand others – It's important to be a good listener and take in what people are telling you.
* Be prepared and organised – You should be ready for your sessions and keep your work in order.
* Use a computer for your work – This includes things like joining meetings on Microsoft Teams or Zoom, and sending emails.
* Travel to different locations – Some training sessions will be in person, so you'll need to be able to travel to where they are held.
* Training: You need to be a trainer who can teacher Oliver Mcgowan Training.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £20.00-£26.96 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 6 per week
