Our client is a rapidly expanding, owner-managed group business based in Penrith. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to join their dynamic finance team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.This is a pivotal role within a fast-paced and well-regarded business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead a small, experienced finance team and play a key role in managing thepany’s financial health while providing strategic financial insights across the business.Typical duties will include:
1. Cashflow forecasting and management of working capital requirements
2. Management of debt provisions and funding with external partners
3. Ensuring profitability of the live projects,municating with stakeholders and throughout the business
4. Fulfilling the reporting requirements of JV partner
5. Management of overheads
6. Staff management of a team of 2 Finance staff, both experienced, min 2 years tenure
7. Continuous improvement of systems and processes
8. Ensure that outputs and work standards meet the expectations of all stakeholders
9. Identifying opportunities to continually improve financial insight is provided to the wider business
10. Attending board meetings to present key financial information
Skills required
11. QBE or qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with a strongmercial acumen
12. Experience of the construction industry is desirable
13. Excellentmunication skills with a hands-on approach
14. Knowledge of Sage is beneficial
15. Strong Excel skills
16. Team player with the ability to influence the finance team andmunicate effectively throughout the business
