We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Strategy Manager to join our collaborative and innovative Strategy team in the KCC Infrastructure division. The division manages KCC's Property estate by defining the future direction and priorities of the councils property services to support the delivery of KCCs front line services and also integral to this is the Resilience and Emergency Planning Service, which ensures that all our services and assets are resilient to possible threats, delivers a 24/7 emergency management and response capability.
Working at one of the largest councils in the country, you will work alongside a team of Strategy Managers to produce the overarching strategies and standards for our property portfolio and Infrastructure service. Your role will include:
1. Leading on projects across Infrastructure that involve change to assets and/or services, ensuring strategies and outcomes drive efficiency or service improvements.
2. Developing asset strategies, producing business cases and options appraisals, and engaging with stakeholders and partners to ensure optimal outcomes and efficiencies,
3. Lead on engaging with KCC services to ensure the Infrastructure service and assets meets their future needs,
4. Analysing and evaluating the performance of services / assets aligning them with the requirements of the Council and the KCC Asset Management Strategy,
5. Managing the Asset Assistants, supporting with the professional development of their performance, ensuring they are capable of providing a high quality service
No two days are the same in this role. Youll make high-impact decisions on assets that shape service delivery, often thinking creatively to secure the best value for the council.
While the role is strategic, youll also need to react quickly when challenges ariseworking side-by-side with operational teams across KCC to keep things moving.

You will have management experience in a similar or relevant area, and a proven track record in change management, innovation, and modernisation of services and estates. You will be comfortable communicating with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders with strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
