HGV Workshop Supervisor Location: Irchester
Salary: £47,000 per annum + Bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift
About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HGV Workshop Supervisor to lead our busy commercial vehicle maintenance workshop in Taunton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to take charge of a well-equipped facility, overseeing a team of technicians and ensuring the highest standards of service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations of the HGV workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
Lead, motivate, and support a team of HGV technicians and apprentices.
Allocate jobs and monitor progress to meet deadlines and service targets.
Ensure all vehicles are maintained and repaired to DVSA standards.
Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
Liaise with fleet managers, suppliers, and other departments to coordinate repairs and servicing.
Maintain accurate records of work carried out, parts used, and costs incurred.
Support training and development of workshop staff.Requirements:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within an HGV or commercial vehicle workshop.
Strong technical knowledge of HGV maintenance and repair.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent).
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).Benefits:
