Directorate Support Officer
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard‑working, organised support officer to join the Emergency and Acute Medicine Directorate at the Emergency Department, University Hospital of Wales.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide efficient administrative support to the Directorate.
* Work with the management team and clinical staff to schedule meetings and manage agendas.
* Act as minute secretary for meetings, collate paperwork and distribute prior to meetings.
* Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
* Use IT systems for data entry, report generation and liaise with other UHB admin and clinical staff.
* Communicate with staff, patients, police and external agencies, providing a professional and friendly approach.
* Prioritise tasks in a busy environment and work proactively to meet deadlines.
* Speak Welsh desirable, but Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome to apply.
Qualifications
* Good standard of general education with at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English.
Experience
* Administrative background and experience working in an office environment.
* Knowledge of RSA III (or comparable qualifications).
