Account Manager - Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry
Territory: Oxford, High Wycombe & Hemel Hempstead
My client is a globally recognized market leader in scientific technology used to accelerate live-saving research. As the dedicated Account Manager for Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry instruments, consumables, and software, you will take full ownership of an existing high-performing territory. Your role involves strategic sales to numerous blue-chip clients across sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Academia, Chemicals, Food & Beverage, and Environmental.
This established region requires a high-performing Territory Sales Manager to drive sales independently. If you reside in Oxford, Hemel Hempstead, High Wycombe, or nearby areas, and have 1 to 5+ years of experience selling laboratory equipment like Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry (GCMS, LCMS), HPLC/LC/GC consumables, or related life sciences/analytical laboratory equipment, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
* Identify prospective buyers of Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry instruments, consumables, and software within your region.
* Expand market share in areas such as HPLC, Gas Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography, Ion Chromatography, Elemental analysis, DIA, and related products.
* Maintain accurate customer data and sales project information in the company database.
* Interpret customer requirements and align solutions accordingly, effectively communicating benefits.
* Achieve and surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
* Support technical and business presentations at trade shows, user meetings, and customer events.
* Drive new and existing accounts, establishing strong relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders to identify sales opportunities.
Requirements:
* At least 1+ years of field-based sales experience in selling Mass Spectrometry, GCMS, HPLC, Chromatography equipment, or related life sciences/analytical equipment/services.
* Degree-level qualification (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Biological, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Analytical Science.
* Familiarity with industries such as Pharmaceutical, CRO, Environmental, Food, Clinical, Toxicology, Forensics, Chemical, or Biotechnology.
* Ability to develop territory plans, identify new accounts, and cross-sell/up-sell.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Proven sales success and self-motivation.
* Ability to travel 80% within the region, with occasional overnight stays.
* Valid UK driving license and passport, with full right to work in the UK.
