Experience supporting a young person with a physical disability and specialist equipment such as hoists would be useful. Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Family can offer 2 shifts per month, either Saturday or Sunday during term time. Typical shift times are 9:00am to 5:00pm or 10:00am to 7:00pm. Extra shifts are available during the school holidays, to be agreed together.
Family/Client Pets : Very friendly cockapoo
About this client/child: Cody is a bright, energetic, and sociable 15-year-old who loves adventure and being out and about. He has cerebral palsy and requires support with all aspects of daily living, including personal care and accessing leisure activities. This will include activities away from the family home, some of which Cody will be supported on a 2:1 basis. Whilst prior experience supporting a young person with a physical disability will be useful, full training will be provided, so having the right approach and personality is key!
