Job Description
We are recruiting an experienced Operations Manager to join our Depot management team. You will oversee the smooth operation of the depot, ensuring outstanding customer service and achieving objectives related to Cost, Health & Safety, Security, Productivity, and Transport.
You will also be accountable for:
1. Recruitment, development, and retention of staff, ensuring compliance and Employee Relations processes are followed.
2. Managing P&L through planning and reporting.
3. Enhancing operational support with innovative working methods.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
1. Extensive experience in logistics, warehouse, or distribution industries.
2. Ability to manage a fast-paced operation and motivate high-performing teams.
3. Experience in monitoring performance, analyzing data, and implementing improvements.
4. Excellent communication skills with strategic influence.
5. Alignment with DPD DNA values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring, and Accountability.
6. Availability to cover any 5 shifts, including weekends, as depots operate 365 days a year.
7. Full UK driving license is essential.
