Engineering & Maintenance Manager Sector: Manufacturing / Engineering Location: Norfolk Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working days Salary: Competitive, depending on experience ISQ Recruitment is recruiting for an Engineering & Maintenance Manager to join a manufacturing business in Norfolk. This is a site-based management role with responsibility for maintenance delivery, engineering compliance, planned maintenance, equipment reliability and the day-to-day performance of the engineering team. The role would suit someone who has already managed engineering or maintenance activity within manufacturing and is comfortable taking ownership of the function at site level, while still staying close to the day-to-day operation. You will lead an engineering and maintenance team of 10 people, with responsibility for maintenance delivery, planned work, contractor control, engineering compliance and equipment reliability across the site. The role has a clear focus on improving maintenance planning, reducing repeat issues, making better use of CMMS data and supporting production through practical engineering input. What You’ll Be Doing Managing day-to-day engineering and maintenance activity across the site Leading, supporting and developing an engineering and maintenance team Planning and prioritising maintenance work to support production requirements Improving planned maintenance, equipment reliability and asset care Managing engineering compliance, including audit and site standard requirements Supporting Health and Safety within engineering, including safe systems of work and risk reduction Working with contractors and suppliers to make sure work is completed safely and properly Managing maintenance spend and supporting budget control Supporting site improvement projects, equipment upgrades and engineering actions Driving better use of CMMS and maintenance data Working closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Finance, Logistics, HR and external contractors Supporting recruitment, training and performance management within the engineering team What We’re Looking For Essential Experience managing engineering or maintenance activity within a manufacturing environment Previous responsibility for maintenance teams, contractors, planned maintenance and engineering priorities Strong understanding of planned maintenance, equipment reliability and engineering compliance Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled maintenance environments Experience supporting Health and Safety standards within engineering Able to manage people, priorities, costs and site expectations Confident working with production and senior management teams Practical, organised and able to follow actions through properly Desirable Experience with ISO 9001, BRC or similar audit standards Experience improving or implementing CMMS systems Project management experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment Exposure to TPM, planned maintenance improvement or structured continuous improvement activity Package & Benefits Competitive salary, depending on experience Enhanced annual leave package Private medical insurance, including dental Death in Service, 2x annual salary Enhanced pension contributions How to Apply To apply, please send your CV or contact ISQ Recruitment on 01603 369 500 for more information.
