I am working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Maidenhead who are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable SENCO to join their team on a part-time basis, 2-3 days a week starting towards the end of this year. The successful candidate will work closely with staff, pupils, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Responsibilities: Lead and manage the provision for pupils with SEND across the school. Work with teaching staff to develop and deliver high-quality support strategies. Oversee the identification and assessment of pupils with SEND. Maintain and update SEND records, including Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Support staff through training, guidance, and collaborative planning. Liaise with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure effective communication and provision. Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and support programmes. Requirements: ✅Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ✅National Professional Qualification (NPQ) ✅A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice. ✅Excellent communication and organisational skills. ✅The ability to work effectively with pupils, staff, families, and external professionals.
