We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie/Sous Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team. Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
* Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food handling and preparation
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations throughout shifts
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
* Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
* Support with inventory management by notifying supervisors of stock levels and expiry dates
* Assist in the training of new team members as required
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members
* Experience in meal preparation and restaurant service is advantageous
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a busy kitchen setting
* A passion for culinary arts and continuous learning within the hospitality industry
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.50-£14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
