Business Development Manager
to come and join our team at our Direct Distribution Team in the
Midlands
Job Purpose:
The Business Development Manager will be tasked with driving profitable revenue growth and retention of all customer accounts within their designated area, by proactively developing long-term, sustainable relationships with customers to ensure that Ibstock is seen as a trusted solutions provider of choice, enabling the business to meet its key business objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
Planning, researching and executing potential sales opportunities in order to drive profitable market share growth for the business
Consistently delivers against set goals and targets
Proactive initiation of customer contact and conversations in order to drive positive results
Establishing credibility with customers by building trust through adding value by providing solutions that meets the customer's needs
Developing strong and sustainable customer relationships with key customers. Ensure these relationships are managed with a high level of trust and integrity
Utilises a proactive data driven approach in order to make commercial decisions, including ensuring adherence to key sales processes and systems (eg CRM)
Seeks feedback from customers proactively in order to provide a better sales experience
Developing strong internal relationships across the Ibstock business (eg Production) in order to create better outcomes for the business and our customers
Knowledge and Skills:
Core Knowledge:
Good product knowledge
Knowledge of pricing
Knowledge of key sales processes
Knowledge of sales systems (such as CRM etc)
Key Skills:
Proactive approach to drive improved sales and increased market share in line with the business's productive capacity
Commercial and business acumen in order to ensure profitable growth
Organised and planned approach to creating sales opportunities
Utilises own initiative
Ability to build strong and sustainable relationships
Strong drive to deliver results
Ability to solve problems
Building Trust with customers and colleagues
An understanding of what it takes to win and how to achieve this
Experience:
Experience of delivering consistently against key sales and commercial targets, supporting the business to grow market share profitably
Experience of working in an environment selling across various sectors
Experience of selling multiple products
Experienced in building strong, long-term relationships with customers in a commercially sustainable way
Experienced in representing organisations at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and exhibition
