Teacher of Art
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Salary: £125 - £160 per day
Start Date: September 2025
GSL Education are currently looking for Teacher of Art to work at Client Secondary Schools in York area, starting in September 2025.
Teacher of Art Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality Art lessons in line with the national curriculum, tailored to a range of abilities.
* Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment.
* Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a culture of respect and enthusiasm for the arts.
* Collaborate with the Art department and wider staff to organise exhibitions.
Teacher of Art Requirements:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
* A degree in Art, Fine Art, Design, or a related subject.
* Experience teaching Art at secondary level.
* Strong classroom management skills.
* Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
