Overview
Neonatal Deputy Ward Sister/Charge Nurse. The Queen's Medical Centre (QMC) in Nottingham, in partnership with the City Neonatal Unit, has opened a state-of-the-art NICU. The unit delivers world-class care for premature and critically ill newborns, with expanded capacity and family-centered environment across two sites (City and QMC Campuses).
The post holder will deputise to the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse, regularly taking charge of the unit and ensuring that the standards and quality of care for babies, and the care environment, are maintained at a high standard. We seek an effective leader and role model who provides direct clinical care and supports governance (clinical and non-clinical).
We are part of the North Hub of the East Midlands Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (EMNODN) and offer medical and surgical intensive care for extremely premature and very sick infants. Our aim is to treat babies in the right place at the right time by a skilled multidisciplinary team with the family at the centre of care.
