About the role
In your role as Bloomberg Compliance Manager you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to create, manage and maintain all Compliance rules within Bloomberg.
You will work with many different teams across USSIM, such as the "Investment Management Product" (IPM) team when onboarding new mandates or trading of new products.
As part of maintaining compliance rules, the role will include working with Front Office and Operations teams in helping to resolve any breaches or other similar compliance queries.
This role also includes reviewing our compliance coding practices, driving constant improvements and ensuring our processes are as efficient and effective as possible.
What you will be doing
As a trusted part of the Operations you will be responsible for:
Delivering Results
* Design, plan, configure, test and implement Compliance rules with Bloomberg
* Maintain Compliance Coding rules, ensuring they are up to date and accurate
* Act as the first point of contact for any issues or queries raised related to Compliance rules. Record and take ownership of issues using JIRA and follow through to successful resolution
* As and when required, assist or resolve L0/L1 general Bloomberg queries
* Manage and resolve issues and queries within Service Level Agreements set in the Application Support Team, in so far as third party SLA's allow
* Be flexible in working patterns to ensure support coverage during the business day
Managing Relationships
* Provide regular, timely updates to stakeholders during delivery, issue investigation and resolution
* Manage expectations of users and IMS management if SLA cannot be achieved, including proposed mitigation and/or workaround
* Escalate issues as required to IMS and Business management
Managing Processes & Future Focus
* Take a proactive view to the work that is performed across Bloomberg Compliance Coding, identifying and implementing improvements that increase efficiency within the team
* Work with IMS, IPM and other business teams to implement long term solutions with respect to Compliance coding
* Produce and maintain support documentation and procedures in Atlassian Confluence or similar
* Contribute to the design phases of new initiatives to ensure a continuous effective model in managing Compliance rules
* Share Compliance Coding knowledge when required, to ensure adequate coverage of issues across the "IMS Bloomberg Team"

To be successful in the role you will have:
* Extensive Bloomberg Compliance Coding knowledge
* Excellent knowledge of “Violations Manager”, “Compliance Manager” and Watchlists. The candidate would be expected to support fund managers, compliance and operations teams with investment restricted related queries and requests as well as assist with investigation and resolution of incidents raised
* Effective collaboration with stakeholders, contributing to ideas and driving improvements
* Take ownership of issues until resolution
* Knowledge of following Bloomberg functions is not essential, but would be advantageous
* Electronic trading workflow
* Position management tools
* Familiarity with general functionality within Bloomberg for market and pricing data
* Onboarding of new portfolios, counterparties and users
* Configuration of data feeds as well as experience creating ad-hoc Data License requests
* Administration of commissions rules in CUTS
