What will you be responsible for?
As a Project Manager you'll be working within the Major Projects team, supporting them in delivering highway improvement schemes as part of the highway framework contracts on behalf of West and North Northamptonshire Council.
Your day to day will include:
* Acting as a point of contact for specific projects, managing relationships with the clients, all stakeholders, design and construction teams and service providers to work together to deliver successful projects
* Managing the delivery of projects to high standards through excellent budgeting and programming skills whilst incorporating health, safety, environment and quality considerations
* Overseeing all phases of a project, including early contractor involvement (ECI), through project inception, to close out, to meet all contractual requirements.
* Driving value engineering and efficiencies within design and construction phases, capturing and reporting change
* Management and escalation of risk
What are we looking for?
This role of Project Manager is great for you if:
* You have a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with good working knowledge of H&S including CDM 2015
* Can demonstrate experience of working on major / large highway improvement schemes within a local authority environment, with an understanding of the governance and assurance process and managing highways design and delivery programmes /budgets
* Drive and hold a full driving licence
