As a Product Manager, Acute Care & Sage UK&I, you will develop marketing plans and activities for specific products and product lines to establish, enhance, or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. Develop business plans and product positioning in the marketplace, oversee market research, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs. Establish pricing strategies, work with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to develop new products or enhance existing products/lines.
This is an individual contributor role requiring judgment in applying professional expertise and working independently with minimal supervision. The role requires professional knowledge gained through substantial applicable work experience, to apply principles and concepts of the technical discipline in resolving issues. Attention to detail and evaluative judgment based on factual analysis are essential. A degree or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of experience are typically required.
What you will be doing:
1. Understand key competitors and their relative strengths/weaknesses
2. Understand customer groups, including why customers buy the product or service approach for the product or portfolio
3. Understand marketing channel strategies and business implications
4. Track and report results/KPIs to leadership and sales
5. Develop key strategy documents: strategic plan, annual marketing plan, product launch plans, etc.
6. Support creation of Project Charters, CERs, and Business Case Financial Models as applicable
7. Understand competitive dynamics in the market
8. Understand customer value perceptions and attribute importance
9. Articulate how the product or portfolio adds value or solves problems for customers
10. Create marketing strategies to develop and enhance customer relationships
11. Propose objectives for clinical evidence generation and evaluate studies
12. Align product/business goals with overall company objectives
13. Synthesize market trends and recommend strategic focus areas
14. Develop new strategies, sales tools, and communication plans
15. Apply clinical and technical knowledge to educate and articulate value
16. Coordinate with sales training to set product sales strategies
17. Manage obsolescence plans
18. Support pricing analysis
19. Communicate marketing outcomes to MarComm team
20. Set and develop action plans for product management team goals
21. Analyze customer satisfaction and incorporate insights into strategic planning
22. Provide inputs for customer insights to marketing intelligence
