About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistant to work across primary and secondary schools in the Chester-le-Street area throughout the summer term. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and keen to gain experience across a variety of educational settings. We ideally require a Level 3 qualified TA, but we will also welcome applications from Level 2 candidates—or those with strong, relevant classroom experience. Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive learning. Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who need additional help. Assist with classroom management and behaviour support. Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources. Contribute to creating a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment. Work flexibly across different school settings when required. ✅ Key Requirements Ideally Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or Level 2 with solid classroom experience. Previous experience supporting children in an educational setting. A proactive, adaptable, and positive approach to supporting learning. Good communication and teamwork skills. A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply). Access to your own vehicle is highly desirable and will significantly increase your options for consistent and long-term work.
