Interim Property Lawyer
12 months fixed-term contract maternity leave cover
Salary: £34,617 (3 days) - £46,156 (4 days)
We are recruiting an experienced Property Lawyer to cover a maternity leave on a fixed-term contract at a University in South East England.
The Legal Services Department comprises ten lawyers, a trainee solicitor, a paralegal, and an administrative assistant.
The University manages an extensive property portfolio, including campuses, agricultural, commercial, and residential properties.
The successful candidate will advise on matters such as:
* disposals and acquisitions
* landlord and tenant work
* sales and purchases
* easements and wayleaves
* property development and related issues
Requirements include being a qualified solicitor, barrister, or chartered legal executive with at least 4 years' PQE and experience in property law.
Desirable but not essential skills include advising on construction procurement and general commercial matters.
The role offers remote working with occasional office visits, which is beneficial for land transactions.
