The Opportunity You will take on a lively and engaged Year 1 class, guiding pupils through the important transition into Key Stage 1. The role offers the chance to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum while helping children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. Your key responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the Year 1 curriculum Teaching core subjects including phonics, reading, writing and mathematics to a high standard Supporting early literacy and numeracy development through targeted and creative approaches Creating a positive, well-managed classroom environment where pupils feel safe and motivated Assessing progress effectively and using data to inform teaching and interventions Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues Contributing to the wider life of the school and its collaborative culture About You The school is seeking a teacher who brings energy, commitment and a genuine passion for early education.
