Teacher of Home Economics, Winchburgh Academy, 35 hours per week, Permanent, Closing Date 10th May

Winchburgh Academy is a new state-of-the-art secondary school which opened in August, designed to ensure twenty first century learning, immersed in creativity and digital technologies. The school also has sports facilities of the highest standard and includes sports halls, a 25m swimming pool and artificial grass outdoor pitches.
Initially, the school opened with a S1 cohort and the roll is anticipated to rise year on year to reach its -pupil initial capacity by. The school roll is anticipated to be students (S1-S3) in August. A future expansion strategy has been considered beyond this, potentially increasing the school roll up to a maximum capacity of 1, pupils. In August the school will have approximately 20 teaching staff.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment and the cost will be met by the candidate.
The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Member is £18.
