Senior Procurement Agent (Global Research & Development)

Boeing is looking for Senior Procurement Agent based in one of the listed locations in UK.
You will play a crucial role in supporting Boeing's Global Research and Development organisation, collaborating with our international partners on research and development to build the future of Boeing. You will be responsible for developing and managing R&D collaboration and procurement strategies and executing agreements with selected partners, aligned to Boeing’s business objectives, and securing the best value for The Boeing Company.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive cutting edge research by developing and executing on source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies that support the program objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Act as an authorised agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
2. Lead the negotiation of Master Research Agreements, Collaboration Agreements, Intellectual Property Agreements, Purchase Agreements, and other contract types as required.
3. Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with a globally dispersed group of customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.
4. Analyse proposals and estimates to determine fairness, reasonableness, and cost-effectiveness.
5. Negotiate contract terms and pricing to maximise value.
6. Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supplier performance, contract terms, and delivery schedules.
7. Lead process improvement teams and identify improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.
8. Develop and execute company strategic business goals and objectives.
9. Provide guidance and advice on R&D collaboration strategy, agreements and proposal analyses.
10. Embrace a lean mindset and identify efficiencies that can be implemented.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
11. 5+ years of experience with Procurement
12. 5+ years of experience with managing/interfacing with suppliers
13. 5+ years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
14. 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
15. 5+ years of work experience in a research and development focused role.
16. Experience with government contracts, grants, university agreements, or related R&D projects/work.
17. Experience working within a globally dispersed team.
18. Demonstrated success in working independently, acting autonomously when making decisions.
19. Bachelor’s degree or higher.
